The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with us! Enjoy a friendly, warm and familiar atmosphere in our hotel and restaurant. We are now in the third generation to maintain personal contact with you, our guests. At our newly designed bar, the linchpin of a good restaurant, you will still receive your beer tapped by the boss himself. We are always thinking up new concepts and events for our restaurant to create the perfect evening for you. Your event, whether conference or celebration, we plan individually with you and take your wishes into account in the best possible way. Our chef, who has been working in our kitchen since 1986, prepares the food for our restaurant using only fresh products and in the best quality.

A short review of the history of Hotel Esser


Haus Esser is a small farm with grocery store and village tavern

1967: first conversion, a bowling alley is built

1968: Kurt Esser (20 years) takes over the house from his mother

1970: the large social room is designed

1976: Haus Esser becomes a small guest house, the first 12 guest rooms are added

1984: Haus Esser becomes a small hotel, expansion to 24 rooms

1985-1989: Family time with Essers! After the marriage with Helene Jörissen, the sons Michael (hotel manager) and Rene (beer brewer and maltster) are born

1992: Construction of the seminar house (opposite the hotel)

2000: Construction of an apartment house with 3 apartments

2000: Renewal of the facade of the main building

2000s: Renovation of the first 12 rooms

2011: Redesign of the guest garden to look fresher and more modern

2010: Basic renovation of the restaurant incl. counter

2011: Completely new kitchen

2017: the bowling alley is gone, expansion of the restaurant

2018: Reception area and reception are redesigned

2019: Renovation of the common rooms

And that is what we are today

In our team, we rely on proven and qualified staff for hotels and restaurants. Since 1986 our chef Dietmar Heck has been providing culinary delights, supported by his representative Uwe Küppers and three assistant chefs. In the service department we have 6 skilled employees and 1-2 apprentices to quickly meet your needs. Another 7 busy bees are responsible in the background for the cleanliness and satisfaction in all premises.

You should have professional experience, be able to work in a team, be reliable and have a good command of German.
We offer fair pay and regular working hours. We are closed on Sundays.
